The Death of Mrs. Westaway
by Ruth Ware
What I Did Like:
-The ending. Once the mystery picks up, it moves quickly. I liked the fast paced ending that provided answers.
-Setting. Much of this novel takes place in an old house with too much space and lots of cold, quiet evenings. I could picture it in my head and I loved it.
-Strong female characters. This book almost rings with a GIRL POWER message, told by almost every female who enters the story. On second thought, I’m not sure if there are any exceptions. The women in this book are strong, courageous, and determined. I definitely loved that.
Who Should Read This One:
-If you like your thrillers to be more psychological than bloodshed, you’ll like this one.
-If you like a good mystery you can try to unravel, this one is a good one.
My Rating: 3 Stars. It could’ve and would’ve been 4 because psychological thriller fans will love it, but it’s predictability forced me to take it down a star.
