Personally, I don't like all of Koontz's books. I'd rate them mediocre at best. But Strangers stood out from all the other books he's written. It's a long book, granted, but that makes it so much more compelling. It's worth it as you learn about each character bit by bit. It kept me at the edge of my seat and there's nary a dull moment.
