Four stars simply because our hero is just a little too accomplished. I get that he needed to be for plot purposes but he did seem to accomplish everything way too easily. That said, I utterly loved this story about a man who sets out to avenge a murder and becomes one of the preeminent actors, fencers and politicians of the age.
