โ™ก A captivating story full of obsession, control and lust.

โ™ก Told from Constanta's point of view, the book is written in a journal style to her maker, her lord. I enjoyed the writing style, the descriptive parts of their homes as they moved through Europe throughout the centuries, the characters personalities and how they did not fully give up their humanity to embrace their newly lives. I personally think they enjoyed the new chance they received from their maker, who is never named in the story, as all they wanted to do is live and absorb all life's wonders. Alexi always wanting to make friends and pursue his acting career, beautiful Magdalena always eager to learn and be part of something bigger, and Constanta always protective of her new family and desiring an honest love. The words flowed easily and the story kept me interested. I enjoyed their relationship and how together they fought to find a way to break the control the maker had over their lives.

โ™ก I did not know what to expect when I picked up this book, what the story was about or how it was written, but I adored it. Definitely different than what I've read before
