This pop star/bodyguard romance features a second-chance love between a plus-size FMC and a brooding bodyguard who swears he doesn’t have feelings for her. The two dated as teens and had a really hurtful breakup, the reasons for which are revealed in a dual-timeline, dual POV narrative. I enjoy all of Kayla Grosse’s books, and I love that the beautiful pop star is plus size, but this wasn’t my personal favorite of her books. Despite not liking second-chance romances in general, this was worth the read.
