The Sunbearer Trials may be the best first book of a series I have read in a very long time.
The story is rich in culture and has a lot of Queer representation,with strong storytelling and flawed but relatable characters.
You root for the main character, while also feeling sympathy for the Golds and what they have to go through.
I'm so excited for Celestial Monsters.
