Secrets of Isoria by Cristina Macari
4.0

Secrets of Isoria started out slow for me. The author has a lot of world building to get through- completely understandable, and overall she does a good job of it. I think what made it most difficult for me was a difficulty relating to the narrator and main character, Orion, who is very closed off at the beginning of the book. Overall the book is absolutely worth the read- Orion eventually comes more to life as she makes connections with other characters and learns more about the world she is thrust into the middle of. The book is a charming, fun read once it gets going!

That being said, be warned that the book ends on a MAJOR cliffhanger and I literally don’t know how I’m going to get through the wait for the next book.
