This book took me a while to get into, but once it hooked me, I couldn’t put it down. Told from dual points of view, the sharp banter and the FMC’s inner thoughts added a lot of personality and depth to the story. There’s a lot happening throughout the plot, which adds to the chaotic energy in the best way. I found it wildly entertaining to read about a serial killer married to a cop—it’s a dynamic that kept me constantly questioning whose side I was on. Both characters made me pause and think, and I loved that. If you’re a fan of Dexter or enjoy morally complex, fast-paced reads, this one’s worth picking up.
