The emphasis on the importance of spiritual discipline and the pursuit of holiness is good. the series is imagery vivid. John overcame his own weaknesses and flaws in order to become a more effective warrior. This emphasis on personal growth and spiritual development is a refreshing change from some of the more simplistic portrayals of faith in popular media.
