Vera and Nico were an incredible match.

Vera is the daughter of the owner of a huge shipping company that has been in her family for years and years. When her father tells her it is time for her to enter an arranged marriage, Vera panics because she thought she had more time to be independent. Vera doesn't believe she should just be a wife, instead she wants to add value to the company and actually work but her father doesn't believe in that. Vera decides to go behind her dad's back and apply to a smaller shipping company where she meets her boss, Nico, and they instantly get off on the wrong foot.

Vera and Nico were honestly so fun! The growth of their connection was so real and their banter was so entertaining. I loved watching both characters let their guard down slowly and start to understand the other. Both characters had a hard past to get through and opening up about that to each other was so heartwarming.

While the third act break up made sense and I seen it coming from a mile away, it still annoyed me a bit. Seeing how both characters were hurting so much, really had me so sad! I understood the way it happened, but I just wanted them to be happy.

In the end, it was a lot of fun and such a quick read.
