A Timeless Romance Anthology: Silver Bells Collection by Lucinda Brant

3.0

My favorite part about this anthology was that each story was concise and I liked the various authors. That said, I'm not a crazy lover of romances, and these stories were all incredibly predictable to me. In the first chapter you know who is going to fall in love with each other, and the following six chapters or so are the how to's of their predictable Christmas romance. Nice and quick and predictable are the three words I would use to summarize this anthology. A few authors and stories stood out, namely Sarah Eden's enjoyable Irish tale A Christmas Promise and Heather Moore's Twelve Months. A few seemed to drag on needlessly (especially noticeable when the stories are generally only seven chapters long), and a few others were written in a more "high style" English than I enjoy. But if you love romance and don't mind predictability and need a quick read, this is for you. If not, keep looking.
