In no world would I have waited as long as Leah did for Eli to get over his ex... did I mention he was only with her for 4 months?... and immediately jump into a relationship with him once he (after 300 loooong, wordyyyy pages) finally admitted he wasn't meant to be with her. I wanted so badly to like these characters, and I didn't hate them, but this was more frustrating than enjoyable at the end of the day. It was between an okay and a good book for me. If there would have been 150 less pages and more character development, I would have enjoyed it. I do appreciate that this is a closed door, low-spice romance. But the slow burn was slug slow much was left to be desired.
