Fever Pitch by Heidi Cullinan

4.0

I enjoyed this one a lot more than I was expecting too. Whilst I liked book 1, it wasn't a favourite read at the time so I delayed getting this one. And it is based around music, and whilst not one, rock band/musician stories are not favourites either (never sure why).
However, this one I did really like. I actually enjoyed the music aspects. I felt I could be there, hearing the music at times and the intensity of both Aaron and Giles' feelings for music came through.
Their romance was slooooooooow burn. Giles seemed to morph from in control guy to jibbering wreck quite quickly. However, I did like the romance between them.
The secondary adult characters seemed at times a bit too much - either uber supportive or massively aggressive and controlling. Giles' dad was the best guy though.
Baz and Elijah obviously have a lot of history, Independently and together and the book ends with lots of leads into their story.
Whilst this is book 2 and Walter and Kelly from book 1 are fairly major players here too, I would consider this standalone as it is a few years since I read book 1. Good to see characters following through in a series, and to see their happy ever after wedding!
