Everything finally comes together and falls apart simultaneously in this gripping finale.
The reunion we all wanted isn’t as happy as expected because of this spectacular writing of surviving trauma. The complexities, intricacies, and sensitivity that must have gone into writing, specifically the book's first half, were truly absorbing and relatable in so many other ways. I thought the philosophical musings in the third book were excellent and engaging, but the process of Spensa returning to normal life was even more significant than that.
Watching where the story goes showed me that nothing is set in stone, and things I would not have ever thought of came to be. Brandon Sanderson has a way of writing that I have never seen before in such a thought-provoking way.
Also, the fact that the book still has a fantastic plot without some cheap shot of miscommunication as the whole plot emphasizes how great this book is.
