This was a great book, particularly writer-types. A collection of writings from youngish (at the time) Canadian writers, accompanied by an interview with each writer.

Lots of discussion about their writing habits, how they fended off starvation before they "made it", stuff like that.

It's neat; I was given the book years ago, but only started reading it earlier this year. A number of the writers were folks whose books I'd gone to read, but would have found them sooner if I'd started reading this sooner :P Lynn Coady, Yann Martel and Catherine Bush, for example.
