Slow Days, Fast Company. The World, the Flesh, and L.A. by Eve Babitz

challenging dark funny inspiring reflective relaxing slow-paced

4.0

Just amazing how Eve Babitz creates such sharp images and portraits with her colloquial narrative voice, it’s inspiring. At first I couldn’t get into this book, but I started getting used to her voice a third of the way through, and learning how to slow down and read her details, and it really impressed me. Not really a “page-turner” kind of book, but really a marvel. Reread someday.
