I should have known. Aly Martinez does not come to play with the angst.
This story starts in tragedy from page one. It was really amazing, though to see Eason and Bree manage the tragedy together. They were complete opposites, but also perfect for each other.
I will say that I quickly started to expect some shenanigans were coming in regards to secrets being exposed, but Aly Martinez still managed to leave my mouth hanging open in SHOCK at some of the plot revelations.
I would highly recommend this standalone. It is beautifully written tale of finding real love in the midst of tragedy.
