Fragments of the Lost by Megan Miranda
4.0
That was a fun little puzzle.
I love the way the story unfolds; it is like picking up a puzzle piece and thinking how it fits with the bigger picture except each puzzle piece also hold a memory, an emotion. The frequent flashbacks throughout the narrative built an amazing connection between me, Jessa and Caleb. I think this style made the story so much more interesting than if everything had been laid out in a line. Uncovering bits of information built the suspense and kept me interested in the details of the relationship.
I love how the characters grow. Jessa's ability to reflect on and analyze her relationship with Caleb brought such a mature element. I love how Megan Miranda never made excuses or justified the issues in that relationship.
There are so many fragments that make this book a thrilling whole.
