I did enjoy this as I like a murder mystery, but some
Of the jargon and background surrounding the antique world confused me. I did try to piece things together regarding the stolen/fake antiques but because I’m not immersed in that world I found it a tad difficult to fully understand. That is fully on me though and not a reflection of the author at all, who clearly has expert knowledge and history in the industry. I appreciate them using the book to educate readers on the darker side of the antiques trade.
I liked the premise though and the reveal at the end was rather shocking!
