Lady Chatterley's Lover by D.H. Lawrence

4.0

I have to say my hopes for this novel weren't very high, but I wanted to read more books on the theme of female infidelity, considering one of my favorite books of all time is Anna Karenina.
The opening paragrap to Lady Chatterley's Lover might just be one of the most beautiful things I've ever read, however, people always claim it to be the highlight of the novel. And althought I agree, I do think there are other beautiful quotes and interesting discussions throughout the book.
In one of the quotes that stood out to me, Lawrence says that the power of the novel is to get your sympathy to lay where it once wouldn't have, to sway the reader to lean one way and not the other and like gossip glorify the most corrupt feelings.
