The Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause
2.0

once upon a time I loved paranormal material. this may have just killed that. really, really bad imagery, for instance "the thick hot soup of life." nothing like campbell's tomato soup as blood. and it just gets worse the farther you get in.
everything is very typical: teen angst, brooding mysterious vampire boy, feeling of abandonment, etc however I am not sure if this was one of the very first in the paranormal young adult genre, but still. the characters are soooo flat. I could have cared less what happened to them.
I wouldn't recommend this to a teen today, it feels very dated and there is better material available.
