I don't even know what to say. E. Lockhart really had me thinking I could guess the twist until the last 10%, and I feel kind of like an idiot.

I haven't cried, but I can feel the weight in my stomach.

The writing is gripping (it has melancholy undertones, and it's somehow both quite lyrical and down to the point), the characters are sort of loveable in their eccentricity and complications, and the chapters are delightfully short. I don't really like the story in the end, but I guess that's subjective and depends on personal preferences.
