Bunker Hill: A City, a Siege, a Revolution by Nathaniel Philbrick
4.0
I generally enjoy Philbrick's books, and this one was no different. The title is a bit of a misnomer, the book is really about the beginning of the Revolution in Boston up through the British evacuation in March of 1776. The Battle of Bunker Hill only takes up about 20 pages towards the end of the book. I don't think there's anything particularly revelatory in here, but I found the book to be a pretty solid overview of Boston during the early Revolutionary War, with a focus on Dr. Joseph Warren, with whom I wasn't very familiar.
