The characters and setting in this book are 5 absolutely LOVED Leni, Cora, Large Marge and Tom Walker, and also loved escaping to Alaska. I felt so connected to Leni and that is honestly what kept me going with this book.
Otherwise, this is closer to 3 for me. The romance storyline didn't feel genuine and was not something that I really cared about. As others have said, the ending felt both very rushed and very drawn out at the same time.
The first 200 pages are very slow paced, then the last 150 pages or so felt like a different book that crammed a bunch of random plot lines together. The most interesting storyline was surely Leni's relationship with her parents. Overall, I would still recommend!
