Last year, I didn't finish this after about 60 pages and wrote: not only am i done with YA romance, I am done with YA. After a year, I decided to give it another chance. What a mistake.

This was every trope from every YA book with not-the-biggest-but-still-pick-me main character and SO MUCH FLIRTING it felt like i was going to cringe/gag/vomit every second page. All 4 brothers are unable to communicate like normal human beings, they must at ALL TIMES lean on fridges, doors, have half smiles, weird faces, grins, sarcastic flirts, romantic flirts, evil flirts, cold flirts and any other flirts possible. Majority of the book is just flirting unheard amount of times with various people. I was promised intricate plot twists and puzzles and got neither. Until like 300th page barely anything related to the "mystery" happened. (Spoiler: but people kissed, that's what's important!!!). So much disappointment. My disgust of this very unnecessary flirting that is forced upon young readers (to clarify, I have no moral issue with flirting, I just think that it sets unreal standards for young girls, is extremely cringy and annoying, plays with your mind and I hate that's it's necessary for today's books to sell because of high demand) led me to not being able to continue with this book and I did not finish after 85%. There was also cursing and one unnecessary sexual comment not appropriate for young readers which was just so... useless.
But not to bash this book so much, there was some mystery, just not the level I was hoping for. From what I read, the end was pretty cool, so it gets 0.25 stars<3
