Mr. & Miss Torso
by Edward Lee
Mr Torso—first published in 1994—is an extreme horror classic, and is essential reading for those who wish to embark on Edward Lee's The Bighead Saga.
It provides some early world-building for the town of Luntville, it establishes some of the quirks of Edward Lee's distinctive writing style over the decades to come, and it introduces us to the truly unforgettable 'Lud'. Why do they call him Mr. Torso? Read it and find out!
Miss Torso was published in 2002, describing the misadventures of Spooky, a beautiful double-amputee entangled with the Vincetti crime family. This one just feels like fan-service, and it is sure to satisfy its fanbase.
Though the Bloodletting Press edition is now quite rare, collectable and expensive, these stories both appear in the collection 'Brain Cheese Buffet' which at time of writing is readily available as a trade-paperback.
