I read this whole book hoping that eventually we'd learn that Dora's half soul had nothing to do with her autistic traits and she and everyone around her would learn to love her as she is...
I was SEVERELY disappointed.
This would have been a great book had the entire plot not been centered around the suggestion that neurodivergent people only possess half a soul.
I really wanted to love this book and I really wanted to give it a higher rating, but I can't get over it.
The last nail in the coffin was the epilogue.
Edit to add… I did recently discuss this series with a friend and was informed that the epilogue is misleading. Apparently future books confirm….
