I tried so hard to get through this book. The story is disjointed. Several times it states how intelligent the fmc is except she never notices the dungeons (plural) in her own house? She never notices the floggers and cattle prods as she cleaned the house? She didn’t believe the monster when he said the groundskeeper was also a bad guy. This book was awful.
