Frankenstein: The 1818 Text by Mary Shelley
3.5
For me, this was a strange read, unlike my ordinary first sci-fi book, and I couldn't help but start with Frankenstein. Do you know everything they tell you about Frankenstein or what they show us? Well, forget it, because when you read the book, there's much more and there's a lot to analyze. If the first part of the book focuses on Victor (the scientist), the second is all about Frankenstein's point of view, and it was the part that really got me into reading. Mary Shelley's book is all about metaphors and also refers to God and Satan. The confrontation between Victor and his creature shows the reality of the book and what it wants to demonstrate. And perhaps the real monster isn't actually Frankenstein.
