What a super-cute and hilarious book! All the magical puns on real-life business names made me laugh.
I love that Mariel is a plant witch. Watching her interact with her plant babies was adorable. I love that she has such great friendships too. I'm so curious to know more about Calladia!
Oz was a great MMC. Between his not understanding modern pop culture and his discomfort with human emotions, he was a joy to read.
My only critique is that the climax/ending felt very rushed after a whole book spent trying to figure out a solution. The solution was great (and in fact, I didn't see it coming, despite the clues being laid out well ahead of time), but everything just felt like it went a little off the rails in the climax. Even so, it was such a charming book and wrapped up perfectly!
