Fated mates is one of my favorite tropes, add it to Paranormal Chick Lit and you have a winning combination. I think the chick lit gives you more of a BFF feel. Anna and Lucy are in this thing called life together even when Anna becomes “undead”. Then we get Vlad who is like five hundred years older than Anna, but they can’t fight the attraction they feel even when he is trying to be stoic and teach her to be a vampire. Throw in a big baddie that is truly evil and seemingly unstoppable and we get the trifecta angsty romance, intrigue, and just enough action. Can’t wait for more.
