A Clash of Kings
by George R.R. Martin
“Power resides where men believe it resides. No more and no less… A shadow on the wall… yet shadows can kill. And ofttimes a very small man can cast a very large shadow.”
Impressive scope. Love the way that the position of each character makes it hard to vehemently root for one side. I did feel at times that I would rather be keeping up with the Lannisters than I would with hearing of Bran’s dreams, Catelyn’s fears and Daenerys’ meanderings. However I do have faith that these set-ups will be satisfyingly paid off in due time.
