I really love this series, but I'm terrified for Triz and Daph because of the prophecy and their mother. I love Bairre and I love him and Daph together (despite hating most romance), but at this point, I just want to kill him off to spare them or find a way around it. I hate the empress even more now because she manipulated Daphne as much as she did Sophronia and after seeing Daphne's arc I just want to see Daph and Triz get vengeance for literally everything. By the end of the book, Daphne has cemented her spot as my favourite of the narrators just based on the last 12 pages and she and Friv are likely in the best spot to beat her mother. She has literally managed to have everyone rallying around her, has dealt with Eugenia, protected Gideon and Reid and Violie as Sophronia has staked a claim to Temarin with Leopold. I'm going to lose it if Aurelia manages to get to Daphne before Beatriz warns her though. Kind of interested about how she'll use her wish. For the third book, I want to see Empress Daphne. It is a really great series-probably my favourite all-time, and I haven't read the third book yet.
