It Lasts Forever and Then It's Over
by Anne de Marcken
reflective
slow-paced
This was unexpected but what a book! For a book with a zombie as its narrator, it was such a gorgeously human story — heart wrenching love and loss and grief. Be prepared for it to be a little abstract at times.
The only reason I’m not at a full 5 star rating is because of the pacing in the middle. It felt SLIGHTLY draggy. That’s said, I’m fully aware how fried my attention span is so do with that what you will.
The grandmother and child wrecked me in particular.
