I am really torn between a 4.5 and 5 stars. I loved the storyline, the worldbuilding, and the characters, but I wasn't expecting a series. And boy what a cliffhanger. Winnie and her family have been banished from their positions in the Luminaries due to her father being caught as a witch. Winnie is desperate to regain her family's place in society again so she will go to all ends to make it happen. But first she has to pass her first hunter trial after not training for four years. Can she do it and bring her family back to Luminaire status? I really loved the book so 5 stars it is and I will not so patiently wait for the next book. Thank you, for the eARC.
