The Secret of Chimneys
by Agatha Christie
For me, The Secret of Chimneys was a bit of a slow start, although I'm not sure why. I should probably chalk it up to the middle of a reading slump, & ignore it for reviewing purposes.
Written in 1925, this is one of Agatha Christie's earlier works, which I really enjoy. It combines murder, international intrigue, & romance. Maybe I'm getting better at guessing who the culprit is, after a year of reading her books, but I had my suspicions about a certain character, & I was finally right! (Although, I was thrown by the many red herrings & plot twists & didn't know the motive or how the plot all came about until the final reveal.) It was thoroughly enjoyable.
