Jim Butcher has the ability to keep me up at night to finish a book, and has, many times. Battle Ground was no different, in that regard. And its title is accurate. Nearly the entire book is a gory description of battle. The reason I gave it four instead of five stars is that I missed the trivialities, the little funny things that Jim throws in to balance out all the horrible things. Harry fought a lot of horrible things in this book.
