As before, Ana's tale with Sam and the whole town of Heart is a complete rush! It's experiencing all the new things Ana is but also living through her frustrations at being new. She doesn't have 5000 years experience with everyone, so she's left floundering at knowing glances and exchange short conversations laced with so much history - but no one will tell her.
But this story got a little fuzzier for me. it's getting confusing - I'm not sure if it's because it's been a little while since I read the first one - but the chains, new creatures and discussions about knives, symbols, spiral reading ....it all got a little overwhelming just past 1/2 way as I tried to understand what was happening and why.
But, this was an incredible journey to take with Ana again. I'm anxious to see what's next.
And honestly, Sam, lose the honor stuff already. She's old enough ;)
