Part history (and critique) of the most influential management theories of the past century, part autobiography of life as a management consultant from the perspective of an outsider. The book challenges the view of management as a science, the role of business schools, and many other existing management dogmas. Overall, one of the most valuable and thought-provoking books on the topic I've read so far.
