This was a fun book where two unlikely people to meet and fall in love in a forced proximity situation. Like..... how could you not enjoy a story where a celebrity you had a crush on fall in love with you lol.
The characters were fun, had good banter, and were able to connect very easier where they opened up about their problems to each other. Hence, they were able to work through some past trauma they had through them getting to know each other which was each of their story arcs.
There were some parts that weren't fully fleshed out how I would like it personally. I felt like the whole plot twist of the stalkers husband kidnapping Jack was very jarring and could have used a better build up. The book for the most part is pretty lighthearted and didn't build up the importance of Hanna's job as a bodyguard or the danger that Jack was in. I know that's the point of a plot twist is to not see it coming but I felt like this one changed the whole vibe of the book. It went from fluffy lighthearted romance to a serious situation real quick just so there could be a plot twist which didn’t add any value or payoff at the end.
Overall, I enjoyed the book and it was cute! I loved the dynamic of the main characters and how they fell in love. I just felt like some plot stuff were a little lack luster when it came to the plot twist and the side characters were pretty 2 dimensional.
