OK. I’m a fan of Whitney G. I like her books. Some make me laugh and others make me want to slap the hell out of the characters. The first chapter of this book intrigued me and I thought perhaps it might be one of the ones that made me laugh and made me happy I purchased it. But I have to say that I hated the male main character. James was an asshole. I get that assholes can sometimes be great characters, but frankly, there was a lot missing in this book. So much missing that there’s no way he was redeemable to me. I can’t understand how Kate came back to him in the end. Honestly, there were so many assholes in this book that I’m just mad. James was a jerk. He lied to her. And I truly don’t understand why she wanted to be back with him. Her mom and dad were assholes. Her ex-husband was an asshole. In the beginning, Her sister acted like an asshole. There was nothing lighthearted about this book. I feel cheated. I don’t believe this relationship was good or ever was good.

On a sidenote, I counted five typos or misuse of words.
