I have been waiting and wishing for Julian's sorry, and I was not disappointed. Each book he was in before this one, I found myself equal parts curious about and terrified of him. Something about his character intrigued me into living him, even though he was only shown as this horrifying villain. Giving the insight into who he actually is, and understanding his inner thoughts and his traumatic past was the key to fully appreciating his character, and man, I love Julian so much more than I thought possible. I also absolutely adored Leo. He was a perfect match for Julian. Leo finally breaking free from his Family, realizing the Castellanis were where his loyalties belonged...it was just right. This book definitely kept me guessing as far as the overarching mystery, and the reveal was super satisfying. Overall, this was a great read!
