i feel that Murakami is a brilliant and beautiful writer and i was able to get hold of this collection of short stories on clearance. quite on brand for a lot of Murakami’s work though, several of the stories are littered with misogyny, especially when written in the point of view of a male protagonist. most of these were stories i felt were weaker than those that lacked the misogynistic stereotypes he laces throughout his novels from time to time.
