I recently reread this, but my opinion remains the same:

I thought this book was adorable and I'm surprised that the average rating is as low as it is. I may be a little biased since my husband played football and I love love love ballet, but I think this was a very solid and heart-warming romance. The friendship between Bree and Nathan was beautiful, and their love was perfect.

I figured for this review I would address the two biggest complaints about the book and why those aspects didn't bother me.

First, some reviewers said Bree and Nathan were too immature for their age. My husband and I started dating at 17 and even at 29, we are both enormous goofballs when we're together. It's a testament to how comfortable we are with each other. He's my best friend and I know he wont judge me for letting loose. Bree and Nathan both hold jobs that require a lot of their time and energy and I loved to see them relax together.

Second, we have the miscommunication. This is almost impossible to avoid with the friends-to-lovers trope and while it did get kind of frustrating at times, I understood why they were so scared to mess up their friendship if the other person didn't feel the same.

I think friends-to-lovers books can be difficult to get right, but I believe Sarah Adams hit the nail on the head with this one and I'm excited to pick up more of her books!
