I had some difficulty keeping the characters straight in my head as the narrator reflects on multiple generations of her family but I didn't find that it impacted on my enjoyment in a massive way.

This book is very honest and raw about motherhood as well as being a very tense novel as you get the feeling that you have an unreliable narrator.
