Bent Right to Your Wind by Esther Valors
The writing was as expected for a debut. I liked the characters but I feel there was too much going on at once. A lot of tell and less show which caused a disconnect from the story also.
I liked that the characters went to therapy and there was a lot of care surrounding the topic of mental health.
The mmc was the highlight of this book. Aaron my Shayla 😠he was sooo sweet and cute and adorable. This man learned to ride a whole ass motorbike just bc she hinted that she finds it hot. Plssss need to protect him at all costs!
I thought the book would be going in chronological order but while reading I realised it had past/present time jumps. I’ve always acknowledged that I’m not a big fan and unfortunately this fell victim to that.
The premise was really good and the story had direction but the execution lacked finesse.
Thank you sm to Esther for giving me the opportunity to read and review her work ♥︎
