I try to go easier on stuff that’s this old and I see why this is such an important SF book but found this kind of tough to get through. It’s not structured like a traditional novel, it’s a collection of short stories all set in the same universe that spans decades and every 40-50 pages you get introduced to new characters who are pretty much plot vehicles and nothing else. I respect its place in classic SF and it’s obviously really important to the genre but I found it pretty dry for the most part.
