It’s no Pendragon, but it held my interest well enough.
Machale really loves writing tough™️ female characters while still having the guys be misogynistic lol. Idk how to feel about it; like they’re cool, but very one-note. That said, he’s more of a plot guy.
As for the plot: intriguing, but I still don’t really know who the bad guy is… probably got confused because I listened to the audio instead of reading it. I guess the next book will reveal more.
