Wild is the Witch by Rachel Griffin

I think this entire book can be summed up by this one line "I am as wild as the magic in my veins and the dust of the stars, and so I run".

I absolutely loved The Nature of Witches so I had such high hopes going into this and was not let down! I'm not sure what it is about Rachel Griffin's books but I just get on with them so well - I love the writing style, the way magic portrayed and how unique they are. I also really like that they're standalones! It's so nice to have everything wrapped up beautifully in one book.

I think my favourite thing about this was the setting, it was just so atmospheric and I could picture Iris and Pike's journey through the forest so well. Initially I didn't buy the romance between them but as things progressed and they opened up to eachother I got so invested in them! The tension of the curse and the owl and all the consequences surrounding it really helped drive everything forward. I just loved it.
