Martian Manhunter/Marvin the Martian Special #1 by Steve Orlando, Jerome Moore, Frank J. Barbiere, Hi-Fi, Jim Fanning, Aaron Lopresti, John Loter

2.0

This crossover special features two different Martian Manhunter and Marvin the Martian stories. J'onn fits much better into the Looney Tunes world than Marvin fits into the DC universe. Because of this I really enjoyed the second story. Martian Manhunter's shape shifting made for some fun moments, many reminiscent of the antics Bugs Bunny uses on Elmer Fudd. The first story uses a takes an unoriginal concept (military vs. alien invasion) and shoe-horns the characters within in simply because they are aliens. This story doesn't break new ground or provide the reader with a fresh take on either of the characters.
